Dabaru (transl. The Chess Master) is a 2024 Bengali biographical sports drama film based on the life of the Indian Chess Grandmaster ,Surya Sekhar Ganguly directed by Pathikrit Basu. The film unfolds a motivational tale about a young chess player, Surya, who rose from the alleys of North Kolkata during 1988–1998 to finally become a grandmaster from India.
